Radio Hawke’s Bay launches fresh new website

Radio Hawke’s Bay has launched a brand-new website, making it easier than ever to listen live, explore local content, and connect with the voices and communities of the region.

The new site, radiohawkesbay.org.nz, features a streamlined, mobile-friendly design and enhanced access to the station’s extensive range of programmes. From community news and arts to specialist shows and local storytelling, the upgrade reflects the station’s ongoing commitment to accessibility and connection.

“We’re proud to provide a digital space that better serves our community – especially as more people tune in online,” says Station Manager Kelly Reid.

“We made the change to enhance the viewer’s journey, whatever device you are on. This new website enables us to showcase our statistics, our history, and stay connected during times of crisis. This is very valuable in our region.”

The site has also introduced a new “Submit Your Ideas” page for potential new programmes. “It’s something we have loved from our sister stations’ new websites”, Reid adds.

Radio Hawke’s Bay joins a growing list of CAMA member stations that have refreshed their digital presence in recent months.

  • Plains FM rebranded as Plains Media, embracing a broader multi-platform vision for community storytelling, podcasting, and content production in Waitaha Canterbury.
  • Access Radio Taranaki unveiled a bold new logo and look, designed to better reflect its region and bicultural kaupapa.
  • Fresh FM (Te Tauihu) continues to upgrade its digital infrastructure with improvements to show pages and on-demand content.
  • Wellington Access Radio refreshed its branding and online presence while honouring its 40+ year legacy.
  • Otago Access Radio (OAR FM) revamped its website and platform, making it easier for Ōtepoti listeners to access podcasts, live broadcasts, and community info.

These transformations go far beyond aesthetics; they’re about strengthening access, improving discoverability, and ensuring that the diverse voices of Aotearoa’s communities can be shared, heard, and celebrated across all platforms.
